David Holst is the Executive Director of Adjudicate Today.  David holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of NSW and certificates in commercial mediation and adjudication.  He has a diverse business background working for multi-national companies as national manager in both accounting and marketing over a period of 20 years.  

David became a mediator in 1994 while actively involved in the development of the petroleum industries Code of Conduct and dispute resolution  program “Oil Code”.  David has substantial experience both in business management and in small business dispute resolution understanding the problems and needs of both parties operating in today's market.  He has acted as a full time mediator, facilitator and trainer in a number of industries including franchising, retail tenancy, petroleum, urban development and building industries. 

Relevant experience includes:    

• 2004.  Appointed adjudicator in NSW

• Full time mediator, facilitator and trainer in a number of industries including franchising, retail tenancy, petroleum, insurance (incl. personal injury), urban development and building industries

• Facilitator assisting branded distributors during the 1996 Ampol/Caltex merger rationalisations,( article in the Australian Dispute Resolution Journal, May 1997)

• Co-author “Resolving Small Business Dispute” kit for Department of Workplace Relations & Small Business -1998

• Deputy Chairman Oil Code 1989

• Mediator Franchise industry - Panel member Mediation Adviser
