A copy of the adjudication response and all attachments or other things accompanying it must be served on Adjudicate Today (as the authorised agent of the adjudicator) and the claimant at the same time.

The adjudication response may be served on Adjudicate Today in person or by courier at any of our offices in Queensland, NSW or Victoria; or by facsimile, post or email. In special circumstances, it may be possible to serve in person on Adjudicate Today outside of business hours. Phone 1300760225 before 4:00 pm to apply for special arrangements.

At the same time the claiment should be served in accordance with any contract provision or served in accordance with the Act by delivering it: Supervisor

  1. In person to the claimant; or

  2. By lodging it during normal business hours at the claimant’s ordinary place of business; or

  3. By sending it by post to the claimant’s ordinary place of business; or

  4. By sending it by facsimile to the claimant’s ordinary place of business.

Email may be used when the parties have an established history of conducting their business affairs in that way.

It is important that the respondent keeps a record of the time, date and manner of service as time for the completion of the adjudicator's decision runs from the date of service. We suggest that service be performed in one of the following ways with the preferred option being personal delivery by courier who requires a signature.

  1. Courier - signature required; or

  2. Registered mail - signature required; or

  3. Fax - Print and keep full page fax journal report as evidence of transmittal; or

  4. Email (only to an email address which has a history of usage between the parties) - In email options, tick both "request a delivery receipt" and "request a read receipt".

Please move to the next step on the flowchart being "The Adjudicator has 10 business days to determine the Adjudication from the date of the receipt of the Adjudicator's acceptance of the Adjudication Application. Time may be extended by agreement of both parties".
