Adjudicate Today is waiving all adjudication application fees until further notice

Adjudication fees include all the expenses of the adjudicator and Adjudicate Today’s administration fee

Currently there is no application fee payable.  By not charging an application fee parties have the benefit that if a matter is withdrawn before the adjudicator commences work, the parties have nothing to pay. Generally our fees are lower than other ANA's and our standards substantially higher.

All adjudication fees are shared equally by the claimant and the respondent unless the adjudicator decides differently.   However most adjudicators will award 100% fees against the respondent if the payment claim is found to be generally justified. In this case the fee is added to the amount awarded by the adjudicator and the claimant recovers 100% of all adjudication fees and expenses, including any fee for the issue of the adjudication certificate.

If issues are kept simple and the submissions of the parties are complete, clear and concise, adjudication fees can be kept to a minimum. The process is intended to be informal, inexpensive and quick.  By way of examples:

Application fee   $0

Adjudication fees are based on the grade of the adjudicator.

Mentored $165
Grade 1 $187
Grade 2 $242
Grade 3 $297
Grade 4 $363
Senior $407

The minimum charge for an adjudicator is 6 hours. Well presented claims and responses are normally completed in 8 hours or less however very large claims,  poorly presented cases or cases in which parties request conferences or inspections can cost more.

It is wrong to assume that senior adjudicators and Grade 4 adjudicators will necessarily cost more.  Our practical experience is that the more senior the adjudicator, the less time is required to finalise a decision.

Adjudicate Today offers fixed price adjudications for small claims where the amount in dispute does not exceed $15,000:

$1,100, including the cost of any adjudication certificate.

If following receipt of the adjudicator's decision, a respondent fails to pay the adjudicated amount within 5 business days, a claimant may request an adjudication certificate to present to the court of appropriate jurisdiction and enforce the statutory debt.  The cost of issuing this certificate may be added to the statutory debt and is generally 100% recoverable from the respondent.
